I forgot to post about my daggers last post, but here they are:

The 2 larger ones are made with foam board base and spray foam, same way as how I made Katarina’s swords. The smaller ones are made with just foam that I sanded down so that it would have a curve. I’ve only applied one layer of fast mache on them so far, will need to do a second layer to cover up all the foam and cracks. Fast mache doesn’t stick to foam too well, so I needed 2 layers for all my swords and daggers.
I also started on Katarina’s arm spikes:

Here is how I planned on arranging them:

I originally thought the spikes were different sizes, but when I looked at the splash page again, I noticed they were the same size both rows, so I think I will end up using the larger ones for my legs. The base is a soft foam sheet, I’m thinking of using velcro to attach it to my arms.
For making the spikes, I used Crayola Model Magic, it’s like playdoh but it air dries to a hard finish.

However, Coco used this before for the decorative piece on my Serah costume, and it broke the first day =(. I will probably need to reinforce it with something, but I’m leaning away from fast mache because it’s just too hard to sand down for a smooth finish.
And lastly, my outfit is almost complete!

My pants look like black jeans in this picture, but in real life it looks more like leather =). Just need to buy a few more belts!
That’s it for this week! If you have any suggestions for my costume or for how to reinforce the spikes please let me know!
