Zombie nails

Zombies! Zombies are now the fad and yes, I am one to love zombies. I love zombie films and could recommend a few. If you haven’t seen it already, watch the British series Dead Set. Well, Dead Set is beside the point. I’m here to show you my newest nail design.

About two and a half weeks ago, I was at Sunrise to find a few movies for my boyfriend’s niece’s birthday. It was there that I saw super cute zombie key covers. I had a second thought to buy them but unfortunately, I wanted to save money. But I’m sure the next time I go there my keys will be wearing them. Anyway, I love them so much that I used the characters of the key covers to make these nails. Thank you Gama Go: Zombikeys!

Prep your nails.

I usually like to do this all the time but I recommend if you’re going to do zombie nails as well that you square cut your nails for the top of the zombies’ heads.

Paint the base of your nails with two coats. I chose fairly close colours to Zombikeys but as I’ve also mentioned you can choose your own colours. Allow the nail polish to completely dry.

For each nail, I used a  different character from Zombikeys. To paint the details on each nail use a fine paintbrush. For the outline of the eyes, try to use a darker shade of the same colour as the nail polish base colour. Allow each layer to dry before applying the final touches.

   

Here are the final touches. Don’t forget to double top coat!
