Over the long weekend, I tried out a new alcoholic beverage called “Soju Bombs”. A Soju Bomb consists of a shot of soju, which is then dropped into a cup of beer.
Soju is a popular, alcoholic drink in Korea. It is traditionally made from rice. In my opinion, the drink itself alone is not that tasty because I find it tastes similar to vodka (except not as strong) and I dislike the taste of vodka. However, as a Soju Bomb, I don’t even notice because the Hite beer washes out the taste of soju.
Hite is the top selling brand of beer in Korea. This along with a shot of Soju goes down quite easily. My friends and I have tried using other brands of beer to mix with the Soju, but I personally preferred Hite because it is more light tasting.
P.S. Beware! Soju bombs are creepers. They hit you pretty hard afterwards.
