Korean Harvest Festival

16 Sep

Hello GGG Readers!

This weekend is the Korean Harvest Festival at Mel Lastman Square. Korean Harvest is like Thanksgiving holiday in Korea called Choo-suk 추석.  It’s actually between September 29th to October 1st this year. It’s different every year because it follows the moon year.  It’s a 3-day holiday, too bad it’s on the weekend so a lot of Koreans are raging because they don’t get extra days off at work or school.

Here’s the facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/events/273864396047119/

The events include singing contest, k-pop performances, etc. on the stage. There are food booths with korean street food with beer, soju, and rice wine (mak-gul-ri).

Happy Choo-suk Everyone!
