Hi GGG readers!
I’ve been shopping for the past few weeks and I’ve managed to purchase some beauty products instead of art supplies (and tea).
Before this one, I had a moringa scented body butter that I used extensively because my skin gets awfully dry during the winter. I chose this one because it has butter for both dry and normal skin and I have a mixture of the two. I usually smear this on at night before getting in bed because it’s when I’m least active and it’s less likely to rub off (as opposed to using it during the day and getting it my food or books, and washing it off whenever I wash my hands).
This stuff is oily- which is probably the reason why they named it body butter, I’m not sure, but it is one of the reasons why I only use it at night before bed. It really does help with dry skin if you use it regularly. The scent is floral with a slight hint of berry. It’s very pleasant. I do recommend this brand if you need a moisturizer.
Winter was destroying my skin and scalp. I had already gotten my body butter to take care of my dry skin but I still needed something to help my dry scalp. I had no idea what to get, to be honest. I only got these because one of my friends recommended them to me for my dry scalp. She claimed that it worked perfectly for her so I decided to give it a try. So far, it has helped reduce the amount of flakes of dead skin on my scalp so it must be doing something. It makes my hair smell nice too~ and for a longer period of time. 🙂
I’ve been looking to replace my old, worn out tweezers so that’s why I got a new pair, ’nuff said.
As for the lipstick, oh, the lipstick… I’ve been hunting for a matte, deep red lipstick for weeks now. I’ve been reading reviews and trying to decide which brand to buy and which shade of red would look good with my skin tone. I settled for this Nyx matte lipstick in Merlot.
This is what it looks like on my hand. It’s different on the lips of course because it blends in with your lip color a bit. This is my first red lipstick EVER. It’s very strong and it does make me look a bit older, which is great because people tend to think I’m still a teenager most of the time~ haha! I try to compliment the red with strong eye make up so it won’t be such a jarring sight haha~!
I’m really not sure how often I’ll be able to wear this because I think dramatic red lipstick would be better worn at special events. With the way I dress normally, I don’t think I could pull this shade off that easily plus the fact that I don’t wear make up on a daily basis. It’s always good to have a bold, red lipstick in my make up bag though!
That concludes my tiny beauty haul.
Do you have any favorite brands of moisturizer, shampoo, and lipstick?
