Niagara Falls 2013

Hey there GGG followers,

Listening to: Bills, Bills, Bills – Destiny Child

So, my boyfriend and I made it an annual thing to visit Niagara Falls. This year we decided to mainly go for the sight seeing but we spent more on the hotel and dinner. Here’s my rating of the places.

Tower Hotel

The Tower Hotel was not what I expected it to be. The service was really pleasant and the view was beautiful in the morning though I would have preferred to get the falls view. The hotel room though was small and the furniture was too eccentric and the television was outdated and the cable had static. Parking was fairly expensive but it did have valet! Overall, I was unsatisfied with the room.

Overall rating: 4.5/10

The Hollywood Wax Museum

The wax museum was not what I thought it would be. Most of the wax figures looked nothing like the actors. Mainly the creatures looked right. Here are some pictures of good wax figures and just terrible ones.

These are the good wax figures

Jack Nicholson as Joker in Batman

20130727_221952

Halle Berry and John Travolta in Swordfish

20130727_222750

Ian McKellan as Gandolf in The Lord of the Rings (he was the only one that was really good)

20130727_222902

Eddie Murphy in Dr. Doolittle

Here are the terrible wax figures

20130727_222833

Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter

20130727_222929

Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in Hunger Games

20130727_223034

Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart in Twilight

20130727_223039

Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura

Justin Bieber

At the end of the wax museum, there’s a little haunted house that was worth the wait!

The Pinnacle Restaurant

Escargot appetizer

The cream sauce was amazing and cracker bread was warm and crispy

Lobster pasta

There could have been more lobster but the pasta sauce and lobster were cooked to perfection.

Fried chicken and baked potato

The chicken was seasoned well and still juicy

This was our view of the falls from the Pinnacle restaurant

The Pinnacle restaurant is located within the Tower hotel and it was amazing! The costumer service was polite and friendly and we were conveniently seated across from the falls with a beautiful sunset background. The food was delectable but the price is a bit hefty. The restaurant can only hold 90 people so be sure to reserve a seat!

Overall rating: 8.5/10

I don’t recommend going to the Tower Hotel unlike Americana Resort. If you’re going to the Tower Hotel then be sure to book the falls view, you can tell the huge upgrade.

The wax museum is not worth the money apart from the little haunted house at the end of the viewing.

I would definitely recommend dinner at the Pinnacle Hotel. It’s definitely worth the money and view!

I love Niagara!!
